EPISODE I

A Long Time Ago ... ...

... in a galaxy far, far away ... there were 7 homeless dogs hanging-out in somewhere called Shatin. They got little idea about their future and all they were doing is eating and sleeping. They were over-flowed with love but they got no one to love. It was The Force that saved the galaxy and their lives by introducing FOOTBALL to them. As far as football was concerned, they treated it more like an excuse for gathering and a way for killing time than anything else.

There was no training, coach, or formation whatsoever. They didn't have team shirts, boots or any football gear, not to mention a team name. By comparing with people who played football, you might say they didn't respect the game and the Team itself. They played liked shit and they just playing on like a shit. The magical thing was that football made them happy. So, they played on.

Those were the days that Hong Kong TV showed only local league and English football. You would not be surprised seeing them adapted to "kick and run" style. Wimbledon was their favorite team which perfectly represented their playing style of Dogs, i.e. running around like crazy.

They were young and had endless energy. All their goalkeepers and defenders ever did were to kick the ball upfront (without any target). And, all their forwards ever did were to run and shoot (without any target as well). What? Midfielders? No, they got none. There was no such word as "pass" in their dictionary. Of course, it would not be possible to identify any kind of tactic and/or strategy in their games.

Instead, you would normally hear:-

" Guys, how about afternoon tea after the match? "

" I skipped the Advanced Microeconomics because I really want to play this game ... "

From left most and clockwise to centre: Sing - Jackie - Winkins - Hoi - Alex Ko - LCK - Fai

And the SEVEN DOGS are:-

Hoi -- he was a slim, handsome, smart and lazy guy who wore expensive Kenzo T-shirt in 1990's. He likes Minesweeper and he is second to none in sleeping.

Alex Ko -- he is the last free-rider in the galaxy and he visits different homeless dogs shelters to free-ride things of other dogs. His famous quote, "I decided to borrow $500 from you!" He knows football and he likes BS as well.

LCK -- he believes he is a natural-born Forward who never knows the true meaning of "Team". The shame is that no one bothers to tell him how football should be played. The best pilot in the galaxy.

Jackie -- he came from PRC. When he got his Hong Kong ID Card, he was happy. He knows he can now find a job in Hong Kong even though he mis-reported his age by 5+ years. He was once alleged to be the rebirth of Napoleon and he fed New Zealand sheep.

Fai -- he is the only exception in that he has a Master to feed him well every weekend. He knows he is not going to be successful with his looks so he studies hard in Econometrics. Used to be fueled with cigarette and alcohol. And he is the first to own a Hutchison Pager in the galaxy.

Winkins -- he is a wookiee who loves his mates. He likes reading Plato and listening The Beatles.

Sing -- he doesn't like The Beatles but he likes one of their song. Used to be the "Prince of Small Pitch" and a Forward killer. Must warm-up with newspaper/magazines before matches.

From time to time, various "Mui Lee (Z§Q) " and "Lau Law (¹ÆÅo) " will join-in. Some are good and some are bad. Memorial dogs: Chan Fok Cheun, Wong Pun and Pork Wing, are well treated during that period.
