... time passes ... after quite number of matches, some of the Dogs felt that it would be good having their own "Team", and it would be better if the Team got a name. However, it was never an issue with urgency and it was neither a straight forward process as well.
For a long period of time, different names were proposed. Some with underlining stories but most were just nonsense. To mention a few, team names like "Strong Tiger (猛虎)", "Cheung Sing (長勝)" and "Wing Yin (永嬴)" were far from being a good name, and anyway, were rejected by the Dogs right away. The bottom line was they would rather live with no name than a bad name.
By chance, 5 of the 7 Dogs were studying Economics (ECON) in New Asia College (NA) of CUHK, "ECONNA" was once considered to be the name of the Team. Coincidently, it happened that ECONNA was also used by the official college team (of course it should!!). Dogs had to find another name ...
Remember, as homeless dogs, they got no one to feed them and they got no one to love. They tried extremely hard to find for themselves food and love. They kept hanging around here and there. It wouldn't take long before they created hygiene problem (to the hostel and canteen) and caused physical threat (to female residents).
They were lonely, hungry and homeless. They found themselves when they were looking at other homeless dogs in the street. They simply felt how homeless dogs felt. And they finally believe (or you may say accept) that there was no better name but "Homeless Dogs (流浪狗)".
The 7 homeless Dogs supported each others (they have to!). They shared food (fruit), shelters, homework and feelings. Though they didn't get love, they got friendship. Suddenly, football became something more than just time-killing. Though they played like a shit, they were more like "a team of shit" now.
Dogs like yelling. And Dogs love singing, especially songs about someone don't get love or someone lose their love. Singing those sad songs comforted the heart of the Dogs. They found it very comforting when singing one particular song:-

To be very honest, at least 5 Dogs cried just because of the lyrics of the first line. They thought that it was their song, that it was specifically written for them and it perfectly expressed their feelings. They kept playing the song in their rooms day and night. They kept singing the song in the bathroom at every single shower. They just loved the song.
Well, you may think: they've found the name and they've found the anthem, end of EP II right? Sorry, you are wrong!
The fact is: even though there was a name and an anthem, they never related those to their football club. It was some 12 years later that they finally consider to put the name of "流浪狗" on their football shirts.
And, up to this moment, "愛多一次 痛多一次" is still yet being recognized as the official anthem of the club.
Fai, " Winkins, what? Were you just 櫻花ed? Being rejected? "
