On 01 January, 2007, version 2.0 of the dogsunited.net was launched. It was more than a year since Jason brought us the template from a 幪面超人 web site, and Dogs all like to have a fresh look.

It is a combination of new layout, some new contents and some old contents. There are now 7 main areas:-

Home – It is mainly an info board for the Team. News, photo of junior Dogs, profile of new Dogs and details of upcoming matches are all posted here. These really keep Dogs up to speed.

Sometimes, you might even find some surprises like the new 2007 Team shirt and the 2008 Calendar.

Rules – With the Squad now getting bigger and bigger, the Committee believe that the Team needed a written Rules for handling different situations. Jason was so kind to make the first draft and, before long, the Rules were announced to the Team.

They are indeed easy to understand and simple to follow. Everybody now knows what they need to do for match registration. The Committee can now performing their duties much easier than before.

Attendance - One of the main tasks of the Committee is to attract more Dogs to join the matches. We believe that by reporting the attendance record, Dogs will have more incentive to come.

It is very encouraging to see hire guns from previous season become new Dogs this season. Also, we should really show our appreciation for those who achieve high attendance, especially for those who did that season after season.

Finance – Start from the Season 2006/07, annual membership fee was collected from Dogs. In order to maintain the transparency of the whole operation, the Committee decided to record and to report the Cash Flow statement.

Dogs would know where we spent for every single dollar. And Dogs would also know how much they can get if the Team was dissolved. Still no idea? Just simply divide the “BALANCE AS AT DD MMM YY” by the number of Dogs. As at 31 Dec 07, it is HK$97.58. Now, you got it!

Gallery – Dogs United Football Club is not only a football club. Dogs can share anything among the Team. And that’s why you can enjoy Art Works from Dogs here.

I, myself, believe that it is not only football that keeps us together but these other things like Dog Arts, match reports and Dogs Forum. What if it happened that you can’t be able to come and play? You can still enjoying these at home and feeling close to us.

Match Reports – Even though you cannot get up at 04:00 and watch the match live, you would like to know the result and highlights first thing morning. DUFC did play some classic matches, back in old days and forward to recent seasons.

I really enjoy reading (or writing) those match reports. They are now part of the history and I am sure Dogs will all reading them again and again for years to come.

Contact – Who are in the Committee? Who design the web site? You will find the answer here. Nothing more and nothing less.

Don’t ask me why you don’t have the right to vote for the Committee members. And don’t ask me why you don’t have the right to become one of the Committee members. I tell you what, you will be regret the first second when you are one of them!

Dogs Forum

I truly believe that among all contents in the web site, 10 out of 10 Dogs will tell you that it is the Dogs Forum that they love most. What Dogs may not be aware is that the location of the forum had been in three different domains:-

From around Dec 05 to around Nov 06, it is under flyluk.com/forum. The forum was hosted by Fly and under his own domain.

From around Nov 06 to around Sep 07, it is under yvonnewinkins.net/forum. This is the time when finally the Dog Web Master knows how to set up a Forum and successfully install one under his domain.

Since Sep 07, it is under dogsunited.net/forum. The Forum is finally being where it should be.

The History

Since Nov 05, the Official Historian of Dogs United started on writing and publishing the History of the Team. According to his working drafts, it will be finished at around EP XXX.
